Here are examples of Youtube videos we watched before creating our own make-up test. the aim was to make the artists friend look sick. from the lyrics we decided that we wanted the trouble to be about a terminal sick friend. we needed to make this clear to the audience in order to make the narrative clear. the video's allowed us to create a more real image that wasn't stereotypical. Two days before shooting we managed to recreate some of the techniques we watched on Youtube on our actress. we found it very useful because it allowed us to learned what type of products and techniques worked well on the camera. we found out that the purple eye-shadow wasn't effective on camera because it appears to be more shiner on camera. For this reason we choose to buy another product that didn't appear shiner on the camera. From my research I felt it was necessary to remove the eyebrow of the terminal sick friend because this would be a very symbolical and significant factor in represent the character. in order to develop the researcher further I thought it would be more creative and affective for us to recreate some of the techniques used in the videos.

Marketing and social media
While creating our music video we though of different ways of successful marketing our artists and the music video. From the research we found out that marketing is very useful in promoting and getting the right feedback from the fans. I managed to research artists such Adele,Sam Smith and Emile sanders in order to investigate the different marketing technique these artists use to adverts. One of the patterns I notice while researching was the impact social media had on the promotion and marketing of artists and music videos. Social media is becoming vital in todays modern society. Modern devices has made it possible for the artists to promote and keep in touch with their fans more easily through social sites such as twitter , Instagram and Facebook. Artists like Adele and Sam Smith all have website where fans can find out more information and tour release dates. Theses artists don’t just have website but also other social networks such as twitter, Instragram, youtube and Facebook. The social media allows the fans to feel connected with the artists and their music whereas this wasn’t possible in the past.
As a group we have choose to promote our music video and artists on social networks such as Instagram and twitter. From these sites we are hoping to create a fan base and gain feedback which is going to be useful in develop our music video.
